Year 3 have been exploring fossils in their science over the last couple of weeks. Today, the children removed the many layers of sediment using tweezers to reveal the ‘fossil’ underneath. What they discovered was that many layers of sediment settling on top of the fossil squashed it into the sea bed with lots of pressure leaving behind a mould.
