Last week, a group of children, with the support of Mrs Giles, installed the bee hotels that were kindly donated by The Beekeeper Collection. These new additions will help create safe spaces for pollinators and other important insects to thrive within our school environment.
Bees and other small creatures play a vital role in our ecosystems. They pollinate plants, support biodiversity, and contribute to the growth of the food we eat every day. Providing habitats like these bee hotels is a simple but meaningful way to support them.
Introducing children to nature from a young age helps to nurture curiosity, respect for the environment, and a deeper understanding of how all living things are connected. By giving pupils the opportunity to observe and care for wildlife up close, we hope to inspire a lifelong appreciation of the natural world—and encourage the next generation to protect it.
