We welcomed our parents to the first (of hopefully many) family stay and play sessions and I’m sure all those who attended would agree it was a great success.
The session started in the school hall with a brief overview of OPAL led by Beth our play mentor. Then Mrs Hilditch spoke briefly about the rules and how we have taught the children to access the risk. Then the fun began, it was lovely to see so many parents joining in on the bikes, loose parts, building dens, hula hooping (although the census of opinion was adults need bigger hoops), with small play, lego, on the ride on unicorn and my personal favourite in the spinning tops – great fun was had by all especially the parents.
It really is great to play whatever age you are!
