Our school kitchen is run by our wonderful kitchen staff, who offer a variety of meals with a three week menu.

The two course hot meal with a choice of main and dessert currently costs £2.60 (price as from September 2024).
From September 2014 all children in EYFS/KS1 will be eligible for a free school dinner (UIFSM – Universal Infant Free School Meal).
We do ask parents who would be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) to complete the online form so your child (which you can find here), and the school benefit from the additional pupil premium funding, even if they are entitled to the UIFSM. Please contact the Office Manager if you have any questions.
Parents are encouraged to pay for school dinners online on the Weduc app, or by cash or cheque (payable to Pontesbury CE Primary School) either weekly, monthly or termly. Any unused credit will be carried forward into the next week/month/term.
The fresh meat used in dishes is provided by local butchers, from local livestock to improve service, quality and the environment by reducing the distance the food travels.
Vegetables may change to reflect seasonal availability, and organic produce is now available on a weekly basis
Waste cooking oil is collected from school and converted into bio diesel.
Packed Lunch
As an alternative to school meals, children are able to bring in packed lunches which they can eat in our school hall alongside those having cooked meals. We ask parents to consider health and nutrition in the preparation of the packed lunches.
