Choir News

Choir after-school club restarts this Thursday 16th January at 3.15pm as normal.

Please note, Lesley Holder will also be coming in to do extra lunchtime sessions at 1.00pm each Thursday in order to get some extra practise in for Young Voices.  These extra sessions will run on Thursdays throughout January only (until the Young Voices concert which is on 31st January).  Please ask your child to go straight in for their lunch at 12.30pm each Thursday so they have plenty of time for their meal before the extra club session at 1pm.

New clubs running during the 2nd half of the Autumn term 2019 (Autumn 2)

Bookings for the new clubs will be available on the School Money website from 12 noon on Wednesday 16th October. All the other clubs will continue running with the existing pupils up until Christmas (no further payment needed) as bookings made in September were for the whole of the Autumn Term.  Note: ONLY Top Hat Drama and all four of the Crossbar sports clubs will be running the last week of term – no other clubs.

All new clubs will run the usual time of 3.15pm – 4.15pm, with the exception of Ukulele Club which finishes at 4.00pm. Please see below for information on the new clubs running next half term:

MONDAYS:

  • TOP HAT DRAMA (years 3-6) £21 – (£3 per session) (20 spaces).  Please don’t forget to sign up again even if you’ve attended the club during Autumn 1 as this club is paid for half-termly. This popular club is run by a representative from Top Hat Drama (Midlands).
  • CONSTRUCTION CLUB with Miss Roberts (years R-1)  £1  (12 spaces) Please note this club will run for 5 sessions Mon 4th Nov – Mon 2nd Dec inclusive)

TUESDAYS:

  • CROCHET CREATIONS CLUB with Mrs Andrew (years 5-6)  £5 (to cover wool & equipment)  (4 spaces to train up pupils to help with more new starters in the club after Christmas)

THURSDAYS:

  • READING & WRITING CLUB (years 4-6) £1 (12 spaces).  This new reading and creative writing club will be run by two lovely year 9 Mary Webb pupils as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award (both previous pupils here at PPS) and supervised by Mrs Rowe.  Please note this club will not run on Thurs 21st November as it is Parents Consultation Evening.

FRIDAYS:

  • UKULELE CLUB (years 3-6) £1 (12 spaces) (club finishes at 4.00pm). Mrs Rowe will be running her popular Ukulele club again (instead of Morris Dancing which has now finished for the Winter). Pupils must provide their own ukulele for the club (approx £17 to purchase online or at music shops).  They will be taught how to use it and enjoy strumming along to some songs together.  No previous experience necessary!
